Care Guide
Love Your Bag
how to care for handmade crochet
A handmade crochet bag, looked after well, will last for years. Here's how to keep yours looking beautiful.

Washing
Hand wash only in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash — the agitation can stretch the stitches and distort the shape. Do not wring or twist. Gently press out excess water and reshape by hand while damp.
Drying
Always dry flat. Never hang a wet crochet bag — hanging while wet causes the bag to stretch and lose its shape. Place it on a clean, dry towel, reshape it, and let it air dry away from direct sunlight or heat.
Storage
Store your bag stuffed with tissue paper or a soft cloth to help it hold its shape. Keep it away from direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent colour fading. Store in a breathable bag or pillowcase — not in a sealed plastic bag.
Everyday Use
Avoid overfilling — crochet bags are designed for light to moderate loads. They carry your phone, wallet, keys, a small water bottle, and essentials comfortably. Very heavy items can stretch the stitches over time.
Avoid sharp objects that can snag the yarn. If a stitch snags, do not pull — bring it back through carefully with a crochet hook or your fingernail.
